We’re thrilled to announce that Summer Discovery 2026 is here, and this year, it’s open to even more students!
For the first time, students enrolled in GSRP and Preschool programs can join the fun alongside students in Pre-K through Grade 8. That’s right, if your child is 4 years old and enrolled in a GSRP preschool program through Grade 8, they are eligible for our exciting, enriching, and FREE Summer Discovery program!
Mornings = Learning Made Fun
Students build confidence with engaging math and literacy enrichment designed to support learning and prepare them for the next grade level.
Afternoons = Adventure
Afternoons are packed with hands-on activities, games, STEM, arts, and weekly field trips that keep students active, curious, and connected.
Daily Schedule
Optional Latchkey: 7:00 – 8:30 AM
Breakfast: 8:30 – 9:00 AM
Morning Classes: 9:00AM – 12:00PM
Lunch & Recess: 12:00PM – 1:00PM
Afternoon Activities (Optional):1:00PM – 4:00 PM
Family-Friendly & Accessible
✔ Early morning care available starting at 7:00 AM
✔ FREE for all students
✔ Open to residents of Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb Counties
***The Summer Discovery 2026 application remains open. However, due to high enrollment, all applications submitted after May 29, 2026 will be placed on a waiting list. Families of students on the waiting list will be contacted after June 15, 2026, once we have finalized enrollment numbers and determined whether any openings are available due to withdrawals.***
